LC uprated front suspension top mount
We don’t think that anyone would argue that the Lotus Carlton is a big heavy car, this puts a lot of strain on the suspension and this translates as lots of lateral stress when cornering. Things get worse when the lower suspension cups inevitably break apart as these help reinforce the top mounts. Usually the wear is very subtle with the internal metal structure buckling to one side by a few millimetres, that might not sound like a lot but that can mean big geometry changes which equals poor handling and vibration.
We supply only uprated top mounts with thicker metal internals and rubber shoulders to handle the forces, couple these with our uprated lower cups to ensure nothing will go out of alignment in the future.
